PELHAMWith good proximity to I-93 and within the vicinity of area mall traffic, Pelham is ideally situated for commerce spanning both New Hampshire and Massachusetts, its bordering neighbor. Many Massachusetts shoppers visit its main business area on Rt.38 in addition to local retailers in adjacent Salem. Yet, Pelham is still rural and attractive. The town center looks much as it did in the 1800's, and the library grounds are renovated with an engraved brick walkway. The recent 250th Anniversary Celebration and Library Centennial in 1996 have fostered community pride. Pelham has a solid school department and an excellent parochial school, thriving town government, an active library, good recreational facilities and public beaches, strong police and fire departments, admirable senior citizen involvement, and spirited local cable television programs. It continues to see a healthy share of new homes, and has attracted several new businesses.
