In the technology sector where job growth has been especially strong, the average weekly wage of $1,110 is higher than any other region in the state. With unemployment hovering near lows of 4.1 - 4.5 percent, Nashua offers more than just a few high-paying technology jobs. The average hourly earnings of production workers in manufacturing industries in New Hampshire rose almost 50 cents an hour to $13.60 per hour during the year ending in January, 2001, with the average number of hours worked in this sector being 41.7 per week.
